ERP Cost Control
The typical purchase arrangement for enterprise software licenses has the following attributes:
- Initial costs high: Cost for the ERP program licenses or ERP Cloud subscriptions are often about double from what can be achieved.
- Cash flow poor: Cash is released too early, long before actual value can be received from the ERP licenses.
- Ongoing costs high: These costs are immediately too high based on excessive initial costs paid. Further, ERP software vendor seek to have no constraints to unilaterally raise these costs over time.
- ERP software contract one-sided: Commercial terms initially offered by ERP software vendors do very little to protect buyer’s interests.
Controlling the ERP purchase
We offer a white paper about how to significantly reduce costs to access ERP software through a subscription or perpetual licenses. Further this paper presents reasons why ERP software vendors should significantly accommodate such an arrangement.
The experience of hundreds of enterprise software selection projects and comprehensive interaction with the enterprise software vendor community is the basis for this white paper. This is one of many enterprise resource planning articles from EAI.
